Join us on Sunday, June 4th from 11 am-2 pm to help us celebrate our Native youth of Chicago at the National Museum of Mexican Art. We will be celebrating all of our program participant’s academic achievements and recognizing all of our Kindergarten, 8th grade and High School Graduates!
This year, we are glad to have Dr. Beverly Jean Smith as our special guest Keynote Speaker! Dr. Smith is Diné (Navajo) and recently obtained her Doctor of Philosophy in Education Policy Organization Leadership from the College of Education at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). She also currently serves as the Assistant Director of Native American House at UIUC.
This will be a great community event with special award presentations and lunch catered by La Villa!
If you have an American Indian/Alaska Native child who is graduating from a CPS school, please let us know so we can present them with a certificate of achievement at the event.
Contact our office at 773-534-2735 or email Lisa Bernal at firstname.lastname@example.org for more info or to RSVP. This event is free and open to the public. The venue has plenty of street parking as well.
